BMW überprüft 260.000 Motorräder
Schon seit längerer Zeit steht der Autokonzern BMW wegen angeblicher Ausfälle seines Integral-ABS in der Kritik. Die Münchner Staatsanwaltschaft hat Ermittlungen aufgenommen. Jetzt bietet BMW seinen Kunden die kostenlose Überprüfung des Systems an.

BMW K 1200 S: ABS mit Problemen
München - Seit Anfang 2001 seien nach BMW-Angaben 260.000 Motorräder mit dem betroffenen Integral-ABS-System ausgeliefert worden. Bis zum 30. April 2006 können diese Kunden ihre Bremssystem bei BMW kostenlos überprüfen lassen. Da es sich um ein freiwilliges Angebot an die Kunden handele, sei aber noch unklar, wie viele Halter die Überprüfung auch tatsächlich in Anspruch nähmen. "Wir wollen mit dem Angebot einer Überprüfung des Bremssystems dazu beitragen, eventuell entstandene Verunsicherung bei unseren Kunden abzubauen", sagte der Leiter BMW Motorrad, Herbert Diess. Das Integral-ABS-System könne "in der Summe seiner Eigenschaften" aber "als die modernste und leistungsfähigste Motorrad-Bremse der Welt" bezeichnet werden.
Inzwischen hat die Staatsanwaltschaft München I Ermittlungen wegen "Gefährdung des Straßenverkehrs" gegen den Konzern aufgenommen und will ein technisches Gutachten einholen. Zuvor hatten Fahrer von Problemen mit der Bremse berichtet. Der Grund des Problems soll ein gelegentlicher Spannungsabfall im System sein, der im Extremfall zum Versagen des ABS führen kann. BMW habe inzwischen gegenüber der Staatsanwaltschaft eine Stellungnahme abgegeben, hieß es vom Unternehmen. Einen Unfall habe es wegen der ABS-Probleme aber nicht gegeben.
Wie der SPIEGEL vergangene Woche berichtete, hatten mehr als 20 Fahrer nach Auskunft von BMW über technische Probleme mit der Bremsanlage geklagt. Ein Mainzer Fahrlehrer berichtete, bei seinem BMW-Motorrad seien plötzlich Bremskraftverstärker und ABS ausgefallen. Im ersten Moment erscheine die Bremse total defekt. Sie reagiere erst auf sehr starken Hebeldruck und sei nur schwer dosierbar. Bei Sicherheitslehrgängen des ADAC war es zu zwei Unfällen mit BMW-Maschinen vom Typ K 1200 S gekommen, bei denen der Autoclub technische Probleme mit der Bremsanlage vermutete. Vor allem in Internet-Foren wird außerdem über ähnliche Fälle mit BMW-Motorrädern diskutiert.
BMW hatte am Freitag erstmals offiziell eingeräumt, dass es bei wiederholtem Bremsen im ABS-Regelbereich während Fahrsicherheitstrainings vereinzelt zum Ausfall der ABS-Regelfunktion gekommen sei. Diese Fehlfunktion sei aber nur bei extrem schneller und harter Bremshebelbetätigung in Verbindung mit einer nachlassenden Bordnetzspannung überhaupt möglich. "Im normalen Straßenverkehr kann dieser Zustand nicht eintreten, und BMW Motorrad ist auch kein solcher Fall bekannt", hieß es vom Hersteller.

Ja sam dva puta samo zahvaljujući ABS-u ostao na motoru. Što se mene tiče zasad samo pohvale, a u buduće bumo vidli,ne............. :wink:

...hej brate, činimi se da nismo baš omiljeni. Pogotovo su nas nazub uhitili vatrogasci koji bi za GS-a,naravno sa ABS'om, dali guze....

Already for a long time the autocompany BMW stands because of alleged losses of its integral ABS in the criticism. The residents of Munich public prosecutor's office determinations accepted. Now BMW offers its customer the free examination of the system.

By 30 April 2006 these customers can let their brake system examine with BMW free of charge. "we want to contribute with the offer of an examination of the brake system to diminish disconcertion possibly developed at our customers", said the leader BMW motorcycle, Herbert Diess. The integral ABS system can be called "in the sum of its characteristics" however "the most modern and most efficient motorcycle brake of the world".
In the meantime the public prosecutor's office took up Munich I determinations because of "endangerment of the traffic" against the company and wants a technical appraisal to catch up. Before drivers had reported of problems with the brake. The reason of the problem should be an occasional voltage drop in the system, which can lead in extreme cases to the failure of the ABS. BMW delivered, was called a statement in the meantime opposite the public prosecutor's office it by the enterprise. It did not give an accident because of the ABS problems however.
How the MIRROR reported past week, more than 20 drivers had complained after information of BMW about technical problems with the brake assembly. A Mainzer driving teacher reported, with its BMW motorcycle brake boosters and ABS had suddenly failed. In the first moment appear the brake totally defectively. It reacts only to very strong hebeldruck and is only with difficulty to be dosed. With safety training courses General German Automobile Association had come it to two accidents with BMW machines of the type K 1200 S, with which the autoclub assumed technical problems with the brake assembly. In addition particularly in InterNet forums similar cases with BMW motorcycles one discusses.
BMW had for the first time officially granted on Friday that it had come with repeated braking in the ABS range of control during driving safety trainings isolated to the loss of the ABS Regelfunktion. This malfunctioning is at all possible however only during extremely fast and hard brake lever manipulation in connection with a leaving electrical system tension. "in the normal traffic this condition cannot occur, and BMW motorcycle is also none such case admits", was called it by the manufacturer.
